If I could change one thing about myself, it wouldn’t be the past. I’ve already carried that weight long enough, and I’ve already learned what I needed to learn from the wreckage. The past is a dead teacher—it can’t speak anymore, it can only echo.
What I would change is something quieter, something that lives right under my ribs:
I wish I didn’t wait so long to move.
I don’t mean moving houses or cities. I mean moving on instinct. Acting when I know damn well what needs to be done instead of hesitating out of habit, fear, or that old voice in me that still thinks I’m the same man who ruined everything once.
Even now, after all this rebuilding, I still feel that delay sometimes.
That half-second where I second-guess the gut that has kept me alive.
That pause where I let doubt drag its thumb across the decision I already made in my heart.
I wish I had the kind of internal clarity that snaps like a blade—
the kind that doesn’t look back to see who approves,
or measure the wind,
or wait for the right moment.
Because here’s the truth:
The right moment never arrives.
You arrive.
Or you don’t.
The system I’m building—the 24 Hard Lines, the Laws, the mythology of He Who Walks the Nothing—all of it is born from that realization. You don’t build a life by thinking about it. You build it by stepping into the unknown with your jaw clenched and your heart steady.
I’ve lived both ways.
The old way, where you hover on the edge and watch the world move without you.
And the new way, where you build from the ashes like you mean it.
So if I could change one thing, it would be this:
I would move sooner.
Act faster.
Trust the man I’ve become instead of fearing the man I once was.
Because hesitation is just another kind of death.
A slow one.
A quiet one.
A death by inches.
And I don’t have time for that anymore.
None of us do.
I’m here to walk the Nothing—
to make something of the void,
to carve a straight line where there used to be chaos.
And every day I’m learning that the difference between a wasted life and a forged one is simple:
You step.
Even when you’re unsure.
Even when you’re afraid.
Even when the ground hasn’t revealed itself yet.
That’s the thing I’m changing in myself.
That’s the work.
That’s the path.
And if you’re reading this, maybe it’s your path too.
What is one thing you would change about yourself?
